Frozen walls
All around me

My heart
surrounded in a ice maze

Complex problems
surrounding love

I see someone down a corridor
Feet skidding over smooth surface
to meet him
“Get fucked fat ugly bastard,” he yells

I fall down in tears
Droplets build more walls

Coldness makes me numb
Misty emotional air floats out of my mouth
Does nothing to warm neglected lips

A loud thought
“It’s just one person’s opinion,
not everyone shares the same idea”

A wave of calm relief sweeps over my body

Another wall melts with the power of positive thinking
A new corridor
With a new challenge

The continual frozen maze
until all the walls are melted
and there is a direct path to my heart
